AI Agents are a powerful tool to assist modern businesses with resource constraints, boosting productivity and efficiency. There are 3 key differences between agentic AI and generative AI: reactivity vs. proactivity; decision-making; capabilities. PagerDuty Advance is a comprehensive suite of generative AI features integrated with the PagerDuty Operations Cloud. In the context of agentic AI, PagerDuty Advance acts as a coordinator of agents.

Beginning with the Spring 25 release, advanced AI Agents will work with responders and autonomously resolve issues, empowering organizations to efficiently redeploy their resources towards higher-value work. PagerDuty’s AI Agents will include:

• Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Agent: Will identify and classify operational issues, surfacing important context such as related or past issues and guiding responders with recommendations to accelerate resolution, thus mitigating business risk caused by operational disruption and enhancing the customer experience.
• Insights Agent: Will analyze data across an organization’s ecosystem of tools to identify patterns needed for strategic operational decisions, continuously improving operational and business efficiency.
• Shift Agent: Will preempt scheduling and availability conflicts by dynamically adjusting on-call shifts to ensure seamless responder coverage, driving faster resolution that can result in lower operational costs and positive customer impact.

For generative AI or agentic features, customers on Professional, Business, or Enterprise Incident Management plans can add on credits for AI consumption. PagerDuty follows our published guidelines for the safe and secure use of Generative AI. This is part of our broader Security and Privacy by Design discipline and includes protection of customer data in transit and at rest, and controls on who and how we process customer data. We will offer customer choice in the use of Generative AI features, including whether customer data is or may be used for training purposes. Currently no customer data is used for training purposes.
