PagerDuty.org logo

The PagerDuty.org Fund is focused on Time-Critical Health with a mission to help save lives by reaching people faster, with particular investment in underresourced populations. We seek to support health organizations that provide essential care to improve outcomes for the most underserved populations and for which technology is inherent in the solution.

How we fund

We want this RFP process to generate extraordinary partnerships that scale impact. The below process is intended to help you determine if we are a good match, so you can avoid spending your time on this RFP if otherwise.

Our grants range in size from $50,000 to $150,000 and are given as unrestricted funding. As part of the funding we also include free PagerDuty product licenses and product support to help you use the technology within your work. If you are not currently using PagerDuty, you must pilot it as part of this grant within the year.

The application deadline has passed. Funding decisions will be announced by September 15, 2020.

Investment support in Time-Critical Health will include:

  • Funding dollars (unrestricted)
  • Product donation
  • Employee expertise, thought leadership and amplification

Examples of what we might fund:

  • Vaccine preservation + delivery
  • Health hotline reliability, triage, orchestration
  • Disease surveillance, contact tracing
  • Medicine and supply inventory and delivery
  • Faster access to care and medicine
  • Additional solutions we’ve not thought of!

Eligible organizations

Eligible organizations include tax-exempt 501(c)(3) public charities (or the equivalent if outside the U.S.), 501(c)(3) private foundations, 501(c)(4) social welfare organizations, government entities, and for-profit social enterprises. (Note: grants to any organization that is not a public charity as described in Section 501(c)(3) will be classified as Expenditure Responsibility grants (ER grants) and will require additional due diligence.)

We want to fund both larger more established organizations and younger emerging organizations who meet the below criteria.

Self-prescreening criteria:

Please only move forward in filling out the RFP if you match the below criteria. If you believe you meet the criteria but still have questions, please join our live Q&A session on July 15, 10am-11am Pacific Time.

If you believe you meet the criteria, we welcome your application. See below for details.

CRITERIA DEFINITION
Your organization's work must match both of the 2 criteria below
1 Time-sensitive healthcare is the central mission: Your work helps save lives by reaching people faster.
  • Reach people faster: You reach patient beneficiaries more quickly than the norm by removing time barriers and reducing delay.
  • Save lives: Fewer people are dying and more people are surviving death because of your work.
  • 2 Technology is inherent in the solution You use technology to drive efficiency, scale and innovation in your solution.
As part of our investment, your organisation will utilize PagerDuty technology granted to it (within year 1). See the Resource Guide below to learn more about PagerDuty’s platform for real-time operations.
Your organization's work must match at least 1 of the 2 criteria below
3 Prioritize the most underresourced populations Your solution targets individuals or communities who experience inequities related to access to care and distribution of resources. These inequities may be due to socioeconomic status, demographic characteristics or other systemic, societal issues.
4 Work within a health system Your solution functions within a health system that considers the interconnectedness between various organizations, people and actions (vs. unilaterally addressing a symptom of health).
