January 2019 Product Update: New Integrations & APIs

by PagerDuty January 23, 2019 | 3 min read

To kick off the year, we’re launching a monthly blog series to share new product announcements on an ongoing basis. This month, we’re excited to announce several new integrations, as well as the new global events rule API that empowers admins and developers to easily manage event rules at scale. (Be sure to also check out our platform release notes to stay up-to-date on what’s new.)

Integrations

We’re constantly releasing new integrations, and with 300+ native integrations, we’re proud to lead the industry in platform extensibility so we can help customers easily connect data and workflows across any environment. Anyone can hook up their tools to PagerDuty for self-service within minutes. Check out our full integrations directory, which contain our integration guides.

Here are some of the latest tools we now support to help you accelerate onboarding, gain operations visibility, take action on issues, modernize ITSM and major incident processes, and more.

Pivotal Cloud Foundry Integration

The Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) integration enables teams to manage PCF app incidents in real time using PagerDuty’s incident management platform. Additionally, you can now provision users, teams, and escalation policies from PCF into PagerDuty. See the PCF integration guide for more information.

New AWS Integrations

PagerDuty is an Advanced Partner in the AWS Partner Network with the DevOps Competency, and we’re proud to have launched several new AWS integrations for CloudWatch Events, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, and Personal Health Dashboard. Our AWS integrations are used by over 3,200 customers, providing them with real-time operations data across their applications and services, AWS platforms, and hybrid environments. Learn more.

Microsoft SCOM Integration

Microsoft SCOM monitors the state, health, and performance of everything from servers to individual applications in Microsoft Windows environments. Using Microsoft SCOM’s Runbook Designer, you can now automatically trigger events to create incidents in PagerDuty to notify the proper technician or teams via preferred communication methods. See the Microsoft SCOM integration guide.

Cherwell Integration

The new Cherwell integration empowers teams to modernize their ITSM processes (pro tip: check out our major incident and ITSM best practices guide to learn more). Incidents can be created from either Cherwell or PagerDuty, with automatically synced incident statuses on both platforms. PagerDuty Notes and Cherwell Journal entries are also synced. (Available February 1, 2019.)

Core Product Capabilities

Finally, the new global event rules API enables admins and developers to automate the management of their global event rules, with actions such as disabling and copying an event rule within the UI and more.

Additionally, we regularly recap everything that’s new with product, integrations, and more in our platform release notes, so be sure to check them out.
