Single Sign-On (SSO) Now Available for Enterprise Customers
Integrating all your tools with PagerDuty is a great way to gain visibility into your systems. Currently, we have over 75 out-of-the-box integrations and have the ability to integrate with any monitoring tool under the sun using our email, API or Webhook integration. We also integrate with many business tools, such as chat programs, customer support portals and more. Today, we’re excited to add another new category to our integration landscape, Single Sign-On (SSO) providers, for our enterprise customers.
By integrating PagerDuty with your SSO provider you will be able to login to PagerDuty using your existing corporate credentials. One less password to remember for everyone! But more importantly for you admins out there, the ability to grant and revoke user access centrally using your existing identity management tool.
What’s So Great About SSO?
Revoke User Access. Using an SSO provider with PagerDuty makes it easy to revoke access from an employee who leaves your company. No more logging into PagerDuty and every other application your employee has access to, instead handle all their access centrally like you wanted.
One-Click Corporate Log In. Can’t remember all of the passwords you use for each of the 468 tools you use? Or maybe it’s because you just reset them all due to Heartbleed? (Note: did we mention that PagerDuty was not affected by it?) No problem. Let PagerDuty federate with your SSO provider and you’ll have one less password and weeks of time saved in logins (actual time savings may vary).
Add Users to PagerDuty. Using an SSO provider it’s really easy to add users to PagerDuty. Just provide them access to the PagerDuty app via your SSO provider and their accounts will be auto-provisioned when they first login to PagerDuty. Get them on that on-call schedule lickity-split!
