PAGERDUTY EVENT TERMS
When you register and/or attend an event run by PagerDuty, Inc. (or its affiliates or suppliers) (“PagerDuty” “we” “us” “our”), the following terms apply to you:
Event registration
- Any information you enter into our event registration forms must be complete, correct and accurate to the best of your knowledge. We may reject your registration if it is not complete, correct, or accurate.
- We may limit event attendance and availability. Please register early.
- You may not register for our events if:
- you will not be 18 years of age by the first day of the event,
- you are the resident of a country embargoed in the U.S. or embargoed in the country where the event is being held,
- your attendance at the event would otherwise be prohibited by applicable export controls and sanctions programs, or
- Your attendance at the event would violate applicable ethics or procurement law or rules, or otherwise create a conflict of interest with us.
Event Code of Conduct
- We want to provide a harassment-free and inclusive event experience for everyone regardless of gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disabilities, neurodiversity, physical appearance, body size, ethnicity, nationality, race, age, religion, socioeconomic status, education, background, or other protected category. We do not tolerate harassment of event participants in any form.
- Our Code of Conduct reflects our intent. You must abide by the following Code of Conduct when attending our
events.
- You should be considerate, respectful, welcoming, inclusive, and supportive.
- You should follow all event rules and instructions, and comply with applicable laws.
- You should wear your event badge at all times and show them to event staff, if requested.
- You should speak up if you see or hear problems. Ask questions/report to event staff if you are unsure about appropriate conduct.
- You must not harass, discriminate, cause sustained disruption, or otherwise act offensively, lewdly, or in a manner that is otherwise unwelcome by others or that would interfere with us running the event well.
- You must not cause injury to others.
- You must not smoke or drink alcohol, except in designated areas. Please drink responsibly.
- You must not bring weapons or other items that can be used to cause injury to others.
- You must not bring illegal substances.
- You must not vandalize or destroy personal property or event site/materials.
- You must not conduct any other illegal activity.
- We may take any appropriate action we deem appropriate to enforce this code of conduct.
Changes to events
- We may change or cancel the event or its contents at any time for any reason, including, but not limited to, lack of interest or attendance, availability of speakers, risk to health or security, or force majeure.
- We reserve the right to refuse or revoke event admission for any reason, including, but not limited to, violation of our Code of Conduct.
- You may cancel your registration at any time before the event by emailing hello@pagerduty.com.
Event recording
- We may record the event. By attending, you agree that we may record you. You also agree that we may use, copy, edit, combine, modify, translate, and publish/distribute any such recorded content, as well as your name and likeness as included in these recordings, for marketing or publicity purposes without compensation to, or additional permission from, you.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to waive (or if waiver is not possible, agree not to assert) any moral rights you may have in these recordings.
Marketing consent
- By providing your personal information, you understand and agree:
- You will be added to our marketing lists. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time by managing your marketing email preferences.
- If the event is sponsored by others in addition to us, we may share your personal information with these event sponsors.
Personal Data
- We will handle your personal information as described in our PagerDuty Privacy Policy.
Release of claims
- You understand the nature of our event, and agree that your participation in our event is voluntary. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to assume the risks of event participation, and hereby release us, and our respective directors, officers, employees, contractors, representatives, agents, successors and assigns (altogether “associates”) from all claims, demands, causes of actions, suits, damages, losses, debts, liabilities, costs or expenses (including, but not limited to, attorney’s fees and costs) that you may have now or in the future.
- TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR ASSOCIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU UNDER ANY CAUSE OF ACTION OR THEORY OF LIABILITY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, LOST PROFITS/REVENUE/OPPORTUNITIES/GOODWILL OR INDIRECT, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES. IN ANY CASE, OUR AND OUR ASSOCIATES’ LIABILITY UNDER THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE FEES PAID FOR THE EVENT (IF ANY) OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
Miscellaneous
- Our failure to enforce these terms will not constitute a waiver. If any portion of these terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms will remain in full force and effect. Governing law will be the laws of the State of California, U.S., without reference to conflict of laws. We may modify these terms any time and they will become effective by posting an updated version. It is your responsibility to regularly check for updated terms. These terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the event and supersede all prior and co-concurrent verbal or written dealings between you and us about this event.
