Incident Management Transformation
Building on our recent launch, we’re excited to introduce additional updates that elevate your incident management capabilities, helping teams minimize disruptions, and strengthen customer trust. These enhancements expand upon existing tools to enable faster, more accurate incident handling across all stages of the response lifecycle including:
- Escalation Policy UI: An updated UI built with React to enhance performance and streamline development. This ensures that escalation policies are in place and configured correctly–mitigating risk and accelerating resolution during response. Phased rollout has begun for all incident management plans.
- Jeli Post-incident Reviews as an Incident Workflow Action: Automatically initiates the post-incident review process upon incident resolution, ensuring comprehensive data collection to identify patterns and proactive solutions. This supports continuous operational improvement to build more resilience. Generally available for Enterprise Incident Management customers who have an active Jeli integration.
Automation Standardization
PagerDuty Automation enables enterprises to drive automation at scale, empowering teams to streamline workflows, reduce errors, and prepare for future incidents with confidence. With new enhancements, organizations can quickly develop automation solutions across a wide range of use cases, ensuring consistency and accuracy in critical tasks while minimizing the risk of operational disruptions.
- Automation Actions Recommendations: Provides AI-driven recommendations to identify the most effective response action for each incident. Streamlining incident handling with AI-driven recommendations reduces costs and gives teams more time to focus on high-priority work. Sign up for early access.
- Distributed Automation Enhancements: Enhancements to distributed automation in PagerDuty Runbook Automation enable teams to operate more efficiently in remote and distributed settings. They streamline task resolution, eliminate manual effort, and enhance security by automating processes in high-compliance or remote environments. New features include:

- Project Runner Management: Users can now create, download, and manage Enterprise Runners from within Projects. This enhancement gives teams more autonomy and flexibility with their automation and decreases their dependency on tool administrators, helping to increase team productivity. - Runners as Nodes: There are many cases where users need to execute automation tasks on the Runner’s host. - Dynamic Runner Selection: This enhancement reduces the complexity of Job authoring and enables customers to use automation across multiple environments with a single execution, boosting efficiency and giving time back to your teams for high-value work. Operations Center Modernization
Our latest innovations help teams focus on high-impact incidents, applying automation to proactively resolve issues before they escalate into outages. With enhanced capabilities for noise reduction and dynamic data integration, organizations can streamline event management, deflect work from resource-constrained teams, and maintain critical visibility to enable rapid, informed responses when needed. New and upcoming features include:
- Noise Reduction Home Page: Provides a high-level overview of Alert Grouping and Auto-pause Incident Notifications settings and services in one place for a seamless setup. This centralized view accelerates team onboarding, freeing up time and resources for building better experiences. Sign up for early access (AIOps customers only).
- External Data Variables: Builds more dynamic orchestrations using variables that leverage data from incidents and external systems via API to cover a more diverse set of automation use cases. Teams can now initiate actions based on existing automation outputs, such as suppressing unnecessary incidents when the diagnostics results indicate the issue has been resolved, reducing the total cost of operations and freeing up time for value-added work. Customer Experience Operations
These new features elevate customer experiences by seamlessly connecting teams during critical incidents, ensuring rapid and coordinated responses that minimize downtime and protect customer satisfaction. By empowering teams to respond faster and with greater accuracy, these enhancements help maintain operational continuity and build customer trust in every interaction. They enhance customer experience operations by improving cross-team coordination, automating status updates, and showcasing service uptime to increase transparency and build customer trust.
- Custom Fields for Salesforce: Pulls detailed information from Salesforce directly into PagerDuty incidents, ensuring both customer service and engineering teams access consistent data throughout the incident response process. This integration enhances cross-team visibility and alignment, improving incident resolution. Generally available for Enterprise Customer Service customers only.
- External Status Page Actions: Status page teams can now configure manual or automatic updates for public or private Status Pages with Incident workflows, using human-in-the-loop automation to keep customers informed efficiently. By standardizing updates, teams save valuable time and deliver accurate information to customers. Status pages are available on EIM and ECS.
- Service Uptime: Displays the historical uptime of the status page services, allowing teams to easily showcase overall service health and communicate SLA performance to customers. Access to historical data also aids in better planning and alignment, supporting transparency and reliability. Generally available. (Status Page customers only). Status pages are available on EIM and ECS.

The new features provide access to PagerDuty Knowledge Base resources for extended support and offer an Analytics dashboard, delivering valuable insights into the impact of using PagerDuty Advance. Generally available for all PagerDuty Advance customers on October 30.
- Jira Cloud Public Configuration API: Migrate easily from Jira Server to Jira Cloud, automate configuration management with Terraform, and replicate configurations across multiple environments—all with the full feature parity and reliability of the familiar OnPrem experience. This solution ensures compliance with industry standards and aligns with PagerDuty’s best practices so teams can work securely and efficiently. Generally available for IR Professional+ plans.
